Sunsilk PFDC Fashion Week 2012 – Day 4

Day 4 marked the final day of the fashion week. The show finale attracted a huge audience, primarily because some of the best designers were saved for the last day!

The day 4 of the fashion week commenced with Sadaf Malaterre opening the show. The first designer to showcase the short shirts fashion was Sadaf Malaterre, following a brown and yellow theme. Her theme was called ‘any time’, depicting a fashion line suitable for all times. Followed closely by her, was Sania Maskatiya with dresses that were essentially themed green. Her collection ranged from long shirts to capris, and was heavily accessorized with bags. She was also the only designer that day to walk the ramp herself during her own show.

The next designer was Zara Shahjahan. Her inspiration behind the dresses came from designing clothes for regular women and not to be worn on the ramps. The highlight of her collection was printed shalwar kameez; emphasizing white shirts with floral prints. Immediately after her was the much awaited Kamiar Rokni, whose focus centred on floral prints as well. He used jackets to enhance his collection.

Republic was the next designer to replace Kamiar Rokni on the ramp as he showcased a corporate collection. The show began with a black and white promo. Omar Farooq’s Republic was flaunted by men in black; wearing one button long jackets with white shirts, skinny jeans and pointed shoes. His collection won instant praise among the masses. The highlight of this collection was Kamiar Rokni walking the ramp for Republic. The event was closed with HSY‘s final performance, whose collection sought inspiration from French Riviera; his dresses being a fine blend of chiffon with lots of layers! His collection was a combination of white and golden.

The fashion show closed with a scintillating after party enjoyed by the designers and the socialites at the Lake city.
